Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently joined hands with TGP (The Generics Pharmacy) to strengthen its push for SIM registration in Davao City. Joining TGP’s recent Kaibigan sa Kalusugan Medical Caravan at the Matina Crossing and Matina Aplaya Gymnasium, Smart set up SIM registration booths to provide assistance to Smart and TNT customers in the area.

Smart partners with TGP for SIM registration efforts in Davao

This kind of partnership allows us to reach our customers and assist them in registering their Smart and TNT SIMs, especially senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those using non-data phones,” said Alex O. Smart has rolled out thousands of assisted SIM registration booths across the country, extending priority assistance to senior citizens and persons with disabilities, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), LGUs, malls, schools, and other community partners.

How to register your Smart SIM

Here’s how you can register your SIM:

1. New and existing Smart Prepaid and TNT subscribers may also visit PLDT and Smart stores, or access Smart’s SIM registration portal through https://simreg.smart.com.ph/.
2. You will be asked to key in your mobile number. At this point, have your phone ready because your OTP will be sent to you.
3. Complete your profile, enter your OTP, and upload a copy of your valid ID.
4. You will then receive an SMS confirmation that your SIM has been successfully registered. Save your control number.
5. Postpaid users, meanwhile, are considered registered using existing account details provided consistent with the SIM Registration Act.

All SIM users are required to register their SIMs by July 25, 2023, according to Republic Act No. 11934 or the Subscriber Identity Module Registration Act.
