“We further enhanced EastWest Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer World and Platinum Mastercard credit cards in our continuing commitment to providing premium travel experiences to our valued customers, especially those who are fond of ‘travel hacking’,” said EastWest Bank Senior Vice President and Credit Cards Business Head Aylwin Mia P. Tamayo.
“Travel hacking” refers to the various ways one can earn points and miles toward future travel, often by strategically using credit card points or miles, or those earned with airline and hotel programs, to score discounted travel perks such as flight upgrades to first-class seats or duty-free shopping vouchers.
“With the popularity of social media influencers who show off luxury vacations booked with credit card points or accumulated travel miles, travel hacking has gone mainstream, and everyone wants a piece of the action,” Ms. Tamayo said.

A generous purchase to-miles conversion rate of 1 KrisFlyer mile per P12 spent on EastWest Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer World and 1 KrisFlyer mile per P15 spent on EastWest Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Platinum, cardholders can earn more miles across various categories, including flights with Singapore Airlines and Scoot, purchases at KrisShop, Pelago, Kris+, other travel-related expenses, and online shopping spend.
With the Mastercard® Travel Pass (MTP) provided by DragonPass, cardholders will have access to over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide, including exclusive access through the Plaza Premium Group partnership.
