Japan visa application fee waived for EastWest JCB cardholders

Tourist visa applications for travel to Japan are now more affordable for EastWest JCB cardholders. EastWest Bank recently partnered with Rajah Travel Corporation, one of the accredited travel agencies of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, to offer a free Japan visa application fee for EastWest JCB cardholders. Under the promotional offer that lasts until September 30, 2024, EastWest JCB cardholders can apply for up to two Japan visas at no cost when the application is processed through Rajah Travel. Visa applicants just need to present the required tickets purchased from Rajah Travel or Japan Airlines, and supporting documents to avail of the offer. The process would take up to one week, depending on the case.

“For many Filipinos, traveling to Japan has become a bucket-list dream. Our strong partnership with JCB helps us fulfill this dream for our customers and demonstrates how we continue to put a premium on focusing on our customers’ dreams,” said EastWest Bank Senior Vice President and Credit Cards Business Head Aylwin Mia P. Tamayo.

The growth of EastWest JCB cardholder base continues to gain significant traction, jumping by over 280% to 115,000 as of July 2024.

“The majority of these cardholders belong to a younger generation of upwardly mobile professionals. This is aligned with our thrust in attracting a big segment of Gen Y and Gen Z consumers who are financially literate and join the mass affluent and affluent markets, which currently account for 30% and 20%, respectively, of our consumer group,” Ms. Tamayo added.

Last year, EastWest’s JCB Credit Card was hailed as the Best Credit Card in the Philippines in the Excellence in Retail Financial Services and Technology Innovation Award of The Asian Banker, one of the most rigorous, prestigious, and transparent country-level award programs for consumer financial services and technology.

In addition to waiving the Japan visa application fee promo, EastWest Bank is also rewarding its loyal customers with a host of benefits tailored to young and modern clients including travel discounts, rewards programs, and exclusive perks. These include travel discounts on flights, hotels, and travel services; access to worldwide airport lounges by LoungeKey and JCB exclusive lounges in Japan and Hawaii; exclusive shopping and dining privileges at partner establishments; and the acceptance of EastWest JCB credit cards worldwide, making it a reliable companion for international travelers.

In fact, a good number of Pampers Diapers went to waste because they would tear easily when we put them on our child. I have to admit though that Pampers Diapers are highly absorbent and are thus really good when it comes to keeping kids dry for long.
