Around 200 kids from SOS Children’s Villages in Manila received the Herbalife STAR Program booklet which will serve as a guide to building good eating habits and a healthy, active lifestyle. It contains a series of daily activities that teach children the importance of eating fruits and vegetables; staying hydrated, and exercising daily.
This 12-week program will allow the children to build healthy habits in time for the upcoming school year. The children who most actively participate in the program will receive a ‘Nutrition Gift Pack” from Herbalife.
“Through promoting nutrition education for children at an early age, together with providing them with resources and knowledge, we hope to help them adopt a healthy and active lifestyle that they can continue throughout their lives,” said Allan Domingo, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines.
Alongside the launch of the Herbalife STAR Program, Herbalife also donated 2,000 school kits to the eight SOS Villages nationwide, to help children in need to kick start the academic year.
“We're immensely thankful for Herbalife Philippines' unwavering support for the SOS Children's Villages. With their consistent aid since 2010, we've assisted 382 children in nutrition and education, and served 175,388 meals in the community. Herbalife's contributions have been transformative, providing immediate necessities and a path toward a better future for the children in our care. The Herbalife STAR Program launch and the school kit donation this year showcase Herbalife's ongoing commitment to making a difference to the lives of these children,” said Romil Ramos del Sol, the Deputy National Director of SOS Children’s Village.
