ComicCon Asia is one of the most anticipated events where the best of comics, movies, series, manga, anime, toys, gaming, and cosplay all come together. For those who are interested, the event will be this coming March 24 to 25, 2018 at the SMX Convention in Pasay City.

The event was organized to showcase Filipino, and Asian, talent, and apart from international and regional celebrity guests, there will also be numerous industry panels in attendance. More than just a meet-and-greet event with famous actors and actresses, it is also a venue where attendees can learn from artists, creators, and producers.

Exciting activities will be held in those two days such as industry talks, panel discussions, and workshops with experts: One-Shot is a chance to present ideas to the biggest names in the industry. Attendees can hope to get projects produced, get job offers, or just show their portfolio of work.

Auction Hero is where collectors can bid on some of the more serious collectibles available: limited edition items, rare finds, and exclusive signed merchandise.

The Great Filipino Graphic Novel contest will have veteran comic artists review original work in order to produce a truly Filipino work of comic art. The Trading Guild is where one collector’s junk becomes another collector’s treasure, where they can swap unwanted items to finally complete their collections.

“What makes ComicCon Asia different is the great balance between international and Asian content,” says event producer Pauline Laping.

“With the local Filipino audience very up-to-date with both American box-office hits and Japanese anime, for example, the Philippines is the best place to have a comic con that is uniquely Asian,” Laping added
