Recipes' Super Savory General's Chicken

I have already written two articles about Recipes in Zomato before. We love this restaurant because its offerings are always on point. for those who do not know Recipes yet, they offer Filipino food that is always flavorful and cooked perfectly.

Recipes' Super Savory General's Chicken

We best remember Recipes for their Kangkong with Cripy Lechon Kawali, Gising Gising, and Crispy Tilapia. There's just something about how they prepare their dishes; the taste is always well-balanced with just the right amount of seasoning. it is a pity though that they had to close down their branch in Ayala Fairview Terraces. Otherwise, we would have been there almost every two weeks.

Anyway, for this story, I figured it is better if I just write about my love for General's Chicken. You might say that there is really nothing new or unique about this topic. But for someone like me, who is a self-professed non-chicken fan, this dish definitely has got a lot of punch in order for me to consider it a favorite.

As I have said before, I can still eat chicken but I avoid it as much as I can. I don't like chicken meat that is moist and fatty. It tastes and looks raw. I like my chicken meat dry and tasteless, hence, my liking for chicken breast.

Going back to General's Chicken, well it's got all the things that I love -- meat that is dry and skin that remains extra crispy even with a good dousing of thick, tangy sauce. The sauce itself is a story on its own because of the many flavors that it packs.

It is thick and has got one of the most well-balanced flavors I have tasted. It has the right sweetness, saltiness, and spiciness that leave your taste buds craving for more.

The slivers of soft eggplant add contrast to the crispiness of the chicken skin, making this dish really enjoyable to eat. Ordered just a cup of rice? Trust me, it will never be enough for this dish. That's how good it is. The good news is it's one of the most affordable dishes I have ever ordered. This is definitely
worth going back to.
