Enjoyable Italian Food at Amici

I once thought Amici only offered gelato, so the first time I went here, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also offer full meals. Amici's menu is composed mainly of Italian cuisines - notably pasta and pizzas, but they also carry Filipino rice meals and salads.

For me, the dishes that have made a big impact and stood out are the Blue Cheese and Pear Salad, Linguine Al Salmone Cremoso, and Al Quattro Formaggi.

The Blue Cheese and Pear Salad is one light and refreshing starter. The strong taste of the blue cheese is perfectly balanced by the sweet and slightly acidic taste of the pear fruit wedges. The alternating flavors of the cheese, pear, and greens make munching this salad hard to stop.

The Linguine Al Salmone Cremoso is bliss in every forkful. The bits of delicately tasty and smoky salmon are further enhanced by the light cream sauce that coats the pasta. What I like about is that it doesn't taste fishy and the cream does not overload the palate. This dish was still light yet filling.

The Al Quattro Formaggi is as cheesy as it can be. Each bite is a burst of delicious cheese flavors. A slice of this pizza would never be enough to satisfy one's taste buds so better get ready for the next slice.

Service is also good but the price is a bit high. When dining in for two, be sure to allot at least P800 per head. For dinners, be here early as there can be a lot of people lining up, especially on Friday evenings.
