Probably the first thing you should ask yourself is this – will you enroll your child in the same school or will you transfer them to another? Of course, the requirements will depend on your answer.

Let’s look at the things that you might need for your child’s school enrollment based on the two scenarios above.

Enrolling in the same school

If you are enrolling your child in the same school, you don’t really have to bring with you a lot of requirements except for your child’s report card during the previous year. So be sure to bring it with you at the start of the enrollment period.

Of course, you also have to bring an initial payment for your child’s tuition. To avoid hassles during enrollment, be sure to bring enough cash with you, or better yet, ask the school beforehand how much you have to pay for your child’s tuition.

I guess one of the best tips during enrollment is never to wait until the last day. You know, people love to cram and wait until the last day so imagine the long queues that you have to brave if you wait until the last day of school enrollment. If you can accomplish it on the first day, then that’s good.

Enrolling in a different school (or school transfer)

The requirements for student transferees are more numerous as compared to continuing students although it can vary from school to school. Here are some of the requirements that you might have to prepare if you are transferring to another school:

• Filled-out enrollment form
• Transfer of credentials
• Transcript of records
• Certification of good moral character from the student’s previous school (some schools would require a dry seal)

• Medical clearance
• ID photos
• Admission fee

Is it your first time to enroll your child?

Lastly, let’s not forget the first-time enrollees such as those in nursery school or kindergarten. Enrollment is not as chaotic as that in big schools because the number of students is few and the requirements are about a handful. Just the same, it’s always good to be prepared if it’s your first time to enroll your child.
