DITO Telecom Continues to Empower Communities in the Provinces

DITO partnered with the local government units of Boracay and Cebu to launch its “Level Up Ka DITO” program which aims to provide alternative sources of income to local entrepreneurs.

Through this program, DITO empowered over 50 sari-sari stores in Boracay and 60 retailers in Cebu by providing “Level Up Ka DITO" starter kits which consist of free sims, retailer sims with load, power banks, and other DITO merchandise to help kick start their business.

“The goal of the program is to equip the beneficiaries with the correct tools, the Level Up Ka DITO Starter Kits, to become empowered entrepreneurs and gain access to alternative sources of income with the help of DITO Telecommunity,” said DITO Chief Administrative Officer Atty. Adel Tamano.

Acting Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Malay, Aklan expressed his gratitude for the program during the Boracay launch.

“It is refreshing to experience and to receive this level of support from DITO Telecommunity, a partner who has taken the needs of our constituents to heart in pushing for progress and better livelihood,” said Hon. Frolibar S. Bautista.

Meanwhile, in General Santos City, DITO also launched “TARA NA DITO sa Gensan!” at SM City Gensan in collaboration with SM Supermalls.

During the launch, DITO conducted on-ground efforts including the symbolic lighting-up ceremony, a DITO for the Squad Cup Mobile Legends (ML) Tournament, and Star Ka DITO Cosplay Showcase.

The ML tournament gathered gaming enthusiasts and players across Davao who got the chance to watch and experience the game while the cosplay activity showcased how talented Gensan cosplayers are as they recreated and relived various mobile legends characters wearing colorful costumes and fashionable accessories.

Aside from the festive activities, booths were also available wherein attendees had the chance to have an all-around experience of DITO products, services, and innovations.

Various booths featured games that helped attendees to know more about DITO and its products like DITO starter kits, DITO level up packs, OTT subscriptions, DITO Advance Pay, and DITO Auto Pay. They also had the opportunity to purchase their own DITO sim cards to start their journey to next-gen technology.

DITO Telecommunity has grown rapidly since its foray into the Philippine telco market in 2021. It is now present in over 600 cities and municipalities and has enjoyed the trust of 12 million subscribers nationwide.

“DITO Telecommunity has disrupted the local telco industry by providing strong competition and staying true to our commitment to nation-building and have come this far because of our subscribers’ faith in us,” Tamano said.

DITO opened commercial operations in Barobo and Tagbina in Surigao del Sur, Asuncion in Davao del Norte, and Morong, Rizal. It also conducted various activities to light up the following provinces: Bicol, Davao, Cavite, Pampanga, Cebu, and Batangas.

Fun-filled activities like cosplay and ML tournaments have become a mainstay during DITO’s light-up ceremonies, but the fun doesn’t end here. DITO is ready to go all-out - TODO NA DITO! - as it will soon light up Caloocan and Fairview.
