It’s no secret that I’ve been trying to incorporate a shampoo bar into my personal care routine and one of the brands that I do like is the Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar. I think it’s a good product because it’s made of gugo, a plant that is traditionally used by Filipinos as shampoo since ancient times. Not only that, it's convenient to carry so it has become part of our family travel essentials.

Gugo (scientific name: Entada phaseoloides) is a woody plant that is native to the tropical forests of Asia, such as in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

In the Philippines, the dried bark of the gugo plant is placed in a basin of water and then given a vigorous stir by hand until it forms a rich lather. Gugo is a natural cleaning agent because it’s rich in saponin.

According to a study by the Department of Science and Technology, gugo is good in preventing hair fall because it stimulates blood circulation in the scalp. Aside from the nutrients infused by gugo to the hair, the efficient blood circulation in the scalp will ensure that the hair receives sufficient vitamins and minerals from the food that we eat.

Aside from hair fall, gugo is also good in making hair strands soft, giving it shine, and in treating dandruff and itchy scalp.

While I do still use regular shampoo in plastic bottles, I limit it only to my favorite brand which is Moringa-O2 that I also find to be really effective. 

I switch it up with the Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar regularly. I’ve also discovered a good conditioner bar called Nurture Natural Conditioner Bar to go with it and I think these two complement each other well.

This is another huge reason for me to use shampoo bars, like Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar. They’re good for the environment because they come wrapped in paper and they don’t have ingredients that may be damaging to the environment.

To be perfectly honest, I find most shampoo bars to be on the pricey side. However, what attracted me to try Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar is its affordability. At just P58 per piece, it’s really one of the most budget-friendly brands in the market today.

I bought the Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar from Shopee. I’m not sure though if it’s available in supermarkets and grocery stores.

I consider Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar as one of the best shampoo bars that I’ve tried because of its effectiveness in keeping my hair healthy.

Not only that, Kaido Gugo Hair Grower Shampoo Bar is also very affordable as compared to other similar products in the market today.
